Preparing for a summer at camp takes a lot of work, but thankfully, we have a fun and fantastic team! For the past week and a half, our intern team has been working hard in Birmingham to get everything in order before we move down to Greensboro for the summer. Our registrars have been processing camper and staff applications, our co-coordinators have been planning new activities for the campers, and our meals and supplies coordinators have been receiving and organizing all the donations given to us from around the state! (Thank you!)
While we have been getting a lot of work done, we’ve also found time to have some fun. Our camper registrar, Faith, celebrated a birthday last week! We surprised her with a delicious cake!
At the end of last week we all headed down to Greensboro for an intern retreat. We spent the time bonding as a team and planning for camp! During my personal favorite activity we had to introduce our partner while wearing a mouth piece. It is a lot harder than it looks!Â
We loved being in Greensboro. While camp is in session we don’t have much time to explore and enjoy the town, so we were sure to use our free time to do some sightseeing.
This week we are back to working in Birmingham, doing our final preparations before the big move! But we couldn’t miss Greensboro High School’s Graduation. We went down to see our friends walk across the stage. Congratulations to all our Greensboro graduates. Seeing so many familiar faces made us even more excited for camp to start!
We can’t wait to move down to Greensboro for the summer next Monday! This is going to be the best summer yet!
